Northern and central governorates, such as Al-Majmaah and Al-Ghat, saw snow accumulation in highland and open areas. The General Directorate of Civil Defence reminded people to avoid valleys and follow safety guidelines during the unusual weather.

Experts noted that while snowfall in Saudi Arabia is infrequent, it is not entirely unprecedented. Mohammed bin Reddah Al Thaqafi, a Saudi astronomer, explained that snow typically occurs between December and February in regions such as Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Arar, and Hail. Its occurrence depends on shifting atmospheric and climatic conditions, making certain northern highlands more prone to winter snow than other parts of the kingdom.
