
QUETTA – The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Composite Circle Gwadar on Monday foiled an illegal border crossing attempt and arrested 21 individuals trying to enter Iran via the coastal route in Jiwani.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspects were apprehended while preparing to travel from Pakistan to Iran by sea. Preliminary investigations revealed that the detainees intended to move onward to other countries through illegal channels.

The arrested individuals belong to several districts across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including six from Gujranwala, two each from Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, and Nankana Sahib, three from Nowshera, and one each from Toba Tek Singh, Sialkot, Bajaur, Chakwal, Gujrat, and Sheikhupura.
The FIA confirmed that a formal case has been registered, and further investigations are in progress. The spokesperson reaffirmed that the agency’s crackdown against human smugglers and illegal border crossings will continue, utilizing all available resources to curb the menace.
