Teen Accounts automatically classify users under 16 into a safer platform version. It restricts unwanted messages and filters sensitive content. At the same time, it allows teens to explore digital spaces safely. The system is designed to balance protection and online freedom. PTA and Meta officials stressed that this feature represents a major step in youth digital safety.

PTA Chairman Major General (R) Hafeez ur Rehman highlighted the authority’s commitment to building a safer digital ecosystem. The chairman added that PTA will continue collaborating with global tech firms for youth protection initiatives.
Dr. Priyanka Bhalla, Meta’s Head of Safety Policy for South Asia, praised the collaboration with PTA. She said Meta’s global safety programs empower millions of teenagers worldwide. She emphasized that Teen Accounts give teens control over interactions and content. Bhalla encouraged parents to support safe usage while helping children explore digital learning opportunities. Meta plans further initiatives to enhance online safety across Pakistan.
