
Islamabad reported 26 new dengue cases in the last 24 hours, raising concerns about the disease’s spread. Out of these cases, 14 were from rural areas, and 12 were from urban sectors. Seventeen patients were admitted to hospitals for treatment, showing the severity of some infections.
The district administration intensified anti-dengue operations to control the outbreak. Teams inspected 21,370 locations across the city as part of preventive measures. They also sprayed insecticides in 361 houses and fogged 270 sites to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds.

Targeted operations continue in all union councils to stop further dengue spread. Authorities emphasized the importance of community cooperation in following dengue prevention rules. They also warned that legal action would be taken against those violating dengue-related SOPs.
The administration urged residents to maintain cleanliness and avoid water stagnation. Public awareness campaigns are ongoing to educate people on dengue prevention. These steps aim to control the outbreak before it worsens.
