‘PTI brought Taliban into Pakistan,’ says Defence Minister

Published on: October 10, 2025 3:39 PM

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif criticized PTI for bringing thousands of Taliban fighters into Pakistan. He said PTI still wants to negotiate with terrorists. Asif shared these strong remarks on social media platform X. He blamed the ongoing violence in Pakistan on these policies. According to him, bloodshed has continued despite long talks with the Afghan government.

Asif explained that Pakistan’s army and citizens have suffered greatly due to this violence. He said many soldiers have died, and funerals happen every day. He also highlighted Pakistan’s role in hosting six million Afghan refugees for 60 years. However, he said this hospitality is costing Pakistan dearly in human lives. He stressed that Pakistan cannot continue paying this price forever.

The minister demanded that Afghan refugees return to their homeland immediately. He called for an end to free shelter and violence against Pakistanis. Asif questioned how guests could harm their hosts and shelter killers. He said this behavior is unacceptable and must stop at once. According to him, Pakistan must protect its people and sovereignty.

Furthermore, Asif warned that Pakistan will not tolerate terrorists hiding inside the country. He emphasized that violence and bloodshed must end now. He urged all militant elements to leave Pakistan peacefully. The minister said the government remains firm in its resolve to protect national security. He pledged to continue efforts to secure peace for all citizens.
