Shehbaz praised Trump’s peace efforts and highlighted the importance of negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. Trump, however, warned that recognizing Palestine amid violence would reward Hamas’s actions. Instead, he supported a ceasefire linked to the release of hostages.
