Pakistan navy awards top officers and sailors

Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, honored Pakistan Navy personnel on July 28, 2025. He presented various military awards during the Pakistan Navy Investiture Ceremony (North) held in Islamabad. The ceremony recognized outstanding service and dedication across many ranks in the Navy. The event also served to boost morale and highlight the Navy’s commitment to excellence.

Vice Admiral Bilgrami acted as the chief guest for the ceremony. He personally conferred the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) on several distinguished officers. Among them were Commodores Syed Muhammad Abbas Naqvi, Aamer Rasheed Malik, and Kashif Elahi. Additionally, Captains Jawad Malik and Atif Aman Chughtai also received this prestigious award. This award recognizes exceptional contributions to Pakistan’s naval forces.

The Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) was awarded to many deserving officers, including Captains Hasan Ali Chauhan and numerous commanders. Notable recipients included Commander Zahid Mahmood Javed, Commander Nadia Zulfiqar, and Lieutenant Commanders Nazish Javid and Talha Naveed. These awards reflect their dedication, professionalism, and valuable service within the Navy.

Moreover, the Vice Chief of Naval Staff awarded the Tamgha-e-Basalat to Lieutenant Commanders Imran Haider and Badruddin Khilji. The ceremony also honored several chief petty officers and sailors. They received different grades of Tamgha-e-Khidmat (Military) awards for their meritorious service. Furthermore, 30 officers, CPOs, sailors, and civilians earned letters of commendation from the Chief of Naval Staff.

The ceremony attracted many senior, serving, and retired Navy officers. It was a proud moment showcasing the Navy’s spirit and commitment to national defense. Vice Admiral Bilgrami’s presence underscored the importance of recognizing excellence. The awards motivate personnel to continue their dedicated service with honor and courage.
