MECCA: As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia prepares to welcome Hajj pilgrims from around the world, Masjid Al Kheyf, which had been closed for two years, has reopened for them to pray. Al Khyef is located in the heart of Mina, a holy site in Makkah. It is one of great importance during Hajj as it is also known as the Mosque of Prophets because numerous prophets are said to have prayed at this mosque, including Prophet Musa (AS). Every year, millions of Muslims perform Hajj, one of the basic pillars of Islam, in the holy city of Makkah. This year, Hajj is expected to begin on the evening of Thursday, July 7 and end on the evening of Tuesday, 12 July.
