LAHORE – In the aftermath of the reduction in the prices of petroleum products, the Lahore Transport Company (LTC) has revised fares for intra-city public transport vehicles. According to a notification issued on Tuesday, the minimum fare/first stage (0-4 kilometres) of non-ac intra-city diesel buses/mini buses would be Rs 9 and up to sixth stage (30.1km and above) Rs 28 will be charged from passengers. For intra-city wagons/mini buses plying on petrol the minimum fare/first stage (0-4 kilometres) would be Rs 11 and up to sixth stage (30.1km and above) Rs 26 will be charged from commuters. The overall reduction in intra-city public transport fares is six per cent on non–ac diesel-run buses, whereas 11 to 12 per cent reduction is announced for passengers of petrol-run wagon/mini buses.
