Deadly and terrific : First look of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ revealed

Published on: April 26, 2016 10:55 PM

Talented and ace actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has broken all records, when it comes to acting.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui doesn’t believe in sticking to the stereotypes – he does one masala film with actor and producer Salman Khan and follows it up with director and screenwriter Anurag Kashyap’s noir thriller.

He will soon be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s thriller called ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’. The makers have released his first look from the movie and it will surely give you a nightmare.

The filmmaker released the first look of the film on Sunday, which literally shows blood flowing on Mumbai’s streets and followed it up with Nawaz’s look. The poster shows Siddiqui, who plays a notorious serial killer, with red eyes and lug wrenches sticking out of his head, giving him an evil Medusa-like look. With bloodshot red eyes and bloodied lug wrenches sticking out of his head, he looks every bit the psychopathic killer he is supposed to be portraying.

The film is based on notorious serial killer Raman Raghav, who went on murder spree in Mumbai in the 1960s. After he was arrested, Raghav admitted that he had killed 23 people in 1966 and a dozen in 1968. Police believes the number could be higher.

‘Masaan’ actor Vicky Kaushal will be playing a cop in the film. This is Kashyap’s first work after the widely-panned ‘Bombay Velvet’ last year. He Tweeted two teasers from the film on Twitter. ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival’s for the Directors Fortnight section this year. The Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 11-22. It will release worldwide on June 24.
