ISLAMABAD: A woman who contracted a love marriage has vanished mysteriously from a jail at Samahani AJK. Police, on the pressure of AJK Minister for Revenue Chaudhary Ali Shan Soni and leader of PML(N) Raja Khushnood Azam is creating hurdles in the way of justice. The husband of the woman, Adnan Safdar, who lives in Rawalpindi told Daily Times that he married on January 1 last year to a girl Iqra Ikhlaq belonging to AJK but living in Taxila. They both were in love and after passage of sometime Iqra’s mother would also came to their house twice or thrice. On August 5 last year , the girl was informed on phone that her father had suffered a heart attack so he left Iqra at her house in Taxila. However when they reached there, his in-laws locked his wife in a room, and compelled him to leave the place by shoving him out forcibly He filed a writ petition in a court of law for the recovery of his wife . On the statement of Iqra , the court allowed her to go with him. Later her family members registered a case in police station Samahani AJK on the plea that she was already married to her cousin Waqar. They also prepared a bogus Nikka Nama. Then her father along with AJK Police came to his house and took his wife Iqra with them. He said that first AJK police did not produce the woman before the court of law. Then he knocked the door of the court and on the order of the court she was sent to jail. He said that political interference was hurdle in seeking justice. He requested the CJP to dispense with justice.
