
RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) arranged a Musical Night in honor of famous folk and sufi singer Qurban Niazi on being awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
MPA Raja Hanif Advocate and MPA Tehseen Fawad were guests of honor accompanied by Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director Waqar Ahmed.
Raja Hanif Advocate speaking on the occasion said that Qurban Niazi served the folk music throughout his life. MPA Tehseen Fawad said Qurban Niazi is a great singer and should have been awarded earlier.
Drama workshop to conclude on May 10: A two-week drama training workshop would be concluded at Pakistan National Council for Arts (PNCA) on Tuesday, arranged for youngsters with prime focus on basic techniques of drama and acting. The workshop, which started on May 2, around 60 young students from different institutions across the country are participating in the workshop.
