The government has announced a significant reduction in the price of jet fuel, following earlier cuts in petrol and diesel rates. According to official sources, jet fuel has been reduced by Rs 56.97 per liter, bringing the new price down to Rs 238.87 per liter.
Officials say the decision was taken in line with changes in international oil prices and the country’s broader energy pricing adjustments. The latest reduction continues a trend of declining fuel costs in the domestic market.
Sources further stated that the decrease in jet fuel prices is expected to reduce operating costs for airlines, which may also lead to a possible reduction in airfares in the coming days.
Earlier, the government had already reduced petrol prices by Rs 74.28 per liter and diesel prices by Rs 67.31 per liter, resulting in a broader easing of fuel costs across the country.
Authorities believe the ongoing downward trend in fuel prices could have a positive impact on transportation costs and overall economic activity.
