ISLAMABAD: Tuscany Courtyard – a renowned name in the Islamabad restaurant scene, has resurged with a bang. It is located in the core of Islamabad at Kohsar market. It houses two spacious floors; the walls are painted in subtle tones of beige and terracotta with grandiose wide-paned windows, basically an interior providing a total Italian flavour and earthy tones. Tuscany has always been a part of beau monde. Their exotic cuisines and luscious desserts have brought Tuscany into the limelight and it has gripped the ropes of prominence tight. The owners Khurram Khan, Aamir Rashid and Sikander Bakhtiar have created a sensation in the food market with Tuscany Courtyard. When it comes to mouth-watering food, Tuscany is our favourite go-to. Without a shadow of a doubt, hearty-Italian food at its best. Their marvellously blistered scrumptious pizzas are famous throughout the city. A classic blend of cheese, spices, mushrooms, meat, olives and many more secret ingredients make for one delicious pizza. Their thin crust special Italian pizza with a choice of whole white crust, chicken and buffalo paninis, Bianco, rossos, polo Passanos and a range of pastas from spicy fettuccine to penne mozzarella makes the menu replete with all forms of Italian delicacies. But the menu offers much more than that, in the form of grilled chicken Caesar salad, beef carpaccio and tomato bruschettas. Steaks with frites, that definitive entree, is in fine form here; they got a good sized whiskey river steak, wild shiitake mushroom steak, cooked exactly medium rare and the flavour is remarkable. However hearty the entrees, it would be a mistake to skip the desserts. Their hot fudge skillet brownie and their special bread and butter pudding have a soothing and satisfying taste. They have a range of warm desserts. A sweet treat by the name of Honey Toast will be available on the menu real soon. And in other great news – Tuscany now introduces breakfast to the menu. The restaurant has chosen a skilled staff to serve their patrons and have hired a qualified chef with his absolute expertise. “Good food is a foundation of genuine happiness,” Aamir Rashid said, while talking exclusively to Daily Times. “The menu, ingredients, ambience, service and food are the five elements that can create wonders in a restaurant if done well,” Rashid stresses. What gives Tuscany Courtyard an edge over a market saturated with fine-dining restaurants, is its immaculate ambience. Here’s hoping Tuscany continues to surprise us with its delectable cuisine in the future as well.
