ISLAMABAD: The Cornetto Poprock series of concerts hit a high note in the capital with some of our most happening rock stars performing on stage. The event brought a star-studded show together which swept Islooites off their feet. The show was rich in talent and glamour. VJ and actress Anoushey Ashraf hosted the show, followed by upbeat performances by actors and singers Zoe Viccaji, Umair Jaswal and Ali Azmat as well as by rock band Noori. One of the highlights of the show was when singer and composer Quratulain Balouch made a surprise appearance and belted out a rocking performance on “Wo humsafar tha”. She also performed a track with Noori. Cornetto Pop Rock showcased four brand new tracks at this concert, two solos by Noori and Ali Azmat plus two duets by Umair Jaswal, Zoe Viccaji, Azmat and Noori. The ambience was that of vivid and glowing lights and loads of entertainment and energy. All the performances demonstrated a rollercoaster of sound and music. Cornetto Poprock is a vast chronicle of concerts that takes place in the major cities of the country like Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Jaswal and Viccaji with their charm and immense talent left the audience spellbound. “It’s always a great feeling performing with a competent line-up. Ali Azmat and Noori are two amazing live performers. It was an honour performing alongside such legends. I performed at the Islamabad event and loved it, as it’s my hometown. Thousands of people showed up with their love and support. Keep believing in yourselves and support Pakistani content and artists. Cheers!” Jaswal said, while talking exclusively to Daily Times. Noori delivered a thunderous performance that drove their listeners to sing along with them. “Manwa re” and “Suno kay main hu jawan” were enjoyed the most by the audience. Azmat completely stole the show with a rocking performance on his hit tracks “Yar bina dil mera” and “Mera Mahi”. The creative team behind BB Event & PR with Impact Activations had organised and handled the media and PR of the event. “There was such an enthusiastic crowd at the Cornetto Poprock show. The audience were completely engaged for three to five hours at a stretch. Cornetto Poprock have got such a good response from the people of Pakistan that we have so much coming up with season 2, we will be coming to more cities now. Hang in there.
