KARACHI – The Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) has foiled a bid to smuggle drugs, in separate raids in Karachi and Shikarpur on Thursday. On tip-off, the ANF personnel conducted a raid at a hideout in Ghazi Town area of Malir and arrested a suspect and recovered two parcels containing 442KG of hashish and 13KG of opium from his possession. The drugs had arrived from Sialkot through a courier company, while the contraband was further to be dispatched to Netherlands. ANF spokesman said that the ANF intercepted a truck in Shikarpur and impounded 200 kilograms of hashish. The drug was to be dispatched to a person in Karachi.
