ISLAMABAD: People in twin cities scarified goats, especially black goats, in the way of Allah Almighty for success of the open heart surgery and early recovery of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and this caused hike in goat prices of goats in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi and a goat worth Rs. 15,000 was sold up to Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 30,000. A huge number of ‘black-goats’ were sacrificed (in way of Allah) as Sadqa across the country for fast recovery of the prime minister. High demand of goats also affected meat market where mutton prices soared a little high. An animal vender told Daily Times that in the wake of open heart surgery of the premier, many PML-N leaders were among hundreds common workers who bought goats on Tuesday for Sadqa. He said few leaders just took selfie with black-goats and went away without buying them while majority of leaders and workers bought goats paying extra money as market faced shortage of animals due to high demand.
