ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Defence and Foreign Office in a joint meeting of the parliamentary committees to be held today would present some important facts regarding the US drone strike in Pakistan territory in which Mullah Akhtar Mansour was killed and disclosures of Indian spy arrested by the premier intelligence agency The parliamentary committees on Defence and Foreign Affairs have taken the notice of killing of Afghan Taliban Ameer Mullah Akhtar Munsour in US drone strike at Pakistani soil and seek detailed report from Defence and Foreign Affairs ministries, sources disclosed. The joint in camera meeting of two standing committees of the National Assembly would held today (Thursday) in Parliament House and media would not be allowed to cover it. It would be jointly chaired by Sheikh Rohail Asghar and Sardar Awais Leghari, both are chairmen of said committees. The agenda of the both the committees is same, Secretary Defence Lt Gen (Retd) Alam Khattak and Secretary Foreign Affairs Aizaz Chaudhry have been directed to brief the joint meeting of the two committees that either US informed the Pakistan in advance about the drone strike on May 21 or not, Pakistan knew that the Wali Muhammad was the Afghan Taliban Ameer Mullah Akhtar Mansour, sources told. The committees also wanted to know the role of some neighboring countries in this whole episode, which affect Afghan Peace Process and what would be the policy of Pakistan now towards the US, Afghanistan and Afghan Peace Process, sources said. Defence and Foreign Office officials would also brief the Parliamentary Committees on the arrest and disclosure of Indian spy Kulbhoshun Yadve, Indian spy have recorded his statement and informed about his network in Pakistan, all these details would be shared with elected representatives, sources told. Advisor of the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz also have been requested to attend the meeting and highlight latest position of Pakistan on Afghan Peace Process, sources told. The military point of view would also be shared with the committee members on both issues and it is expected that a joint resolution would also be passed against the US drone strike in Balochistan, sources told.
