ISLAMABAD: A massive reshuffling has been made in the Punjab police to deal with terror threats during the possible march and protest demonstration by the PTI, the PPP and the PAT, on the Panama leaks issue, after Eid ul Fitr.
Details received by Daily Times said that the IG office had issued transfer orders of 20 police officers and these 20 police officers including SP CIA, Umar Virk have been directed to report to the CPO.
Powerful SP CIA police Lahore Umar Virk has been transferred from his office where he remained SP CIA for more than eight years.
The other officers who have been transferred include SP PPHP Multan, Shahid Razzaq, SPA VLS Owais Malik, DPO Khushab Faisal Gulzar, SP CIA Faisalabad Ejaz Shafi Dogar, VPO Mandi Baha ud Din Raja Basharat, Additional SP City Gujranwala, Tahir Maqsood and SP investigation Khanewal, Naeem ul Hassan.
SP SPU Punjab Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Bokhari has been made OSD. Sixty five police officers who are working as DSPs have been made OSD. They are SSP operations Rawalpindi, Karamatullah Malik, DPO Gujrat, Roy Zamirul Haq, SP Special branch Amir, SP SPU Central Syed Mukhtar Hussain,, SP PHP Faisalabad Farooq Ahmad, Commandant Lahore Ring Road Police Muhammad Qasim, Additional SP Sialkot, Mrs Nasim Chaudhry, SP Traffic Region Sargodha Masroor Ahmad, SPPHP D G Khan Kifayatullah, Additional SP Saddar Faisalabad Muhammad Mumtaz, SPVIP Security Amjad Mehmood.
All these officers have been removed from their offices in the backdrop of the decision in out of turn promotion cases. All the officers who have been transferred have been directed to assume the charge of their new offices immediately. Those who have been made OSDs have been directed to report to the CPO. Other senior officers have been handed over the additional charge of the vacant seats of police officers. Additional SP Cantt division Multan Saifullah Khan has been appointed as SP Multan, SSP Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera as SP CIA Lahore, Additional SPORO Lahore Umar Farooq as SPAVLS Lahore, SPRIB Sargodha, Ghulam Jilani as DPO Khushab, SSP Investigation Lahore Farrukh Raza as SP CIA Faisalabad, SPRIB Gujranwala Khalid Bashir as DPO Mandi Bahauddin, Additional SP civil lines Gujranwala Muhammad Nadim as additional SP city Gujranwala, DPO Khanewal Jahanzeb Nazir Khan as SP Investigation Khanewal, additional SP Gujrat, Kamran Mumtaz as DPO Gujrat and SP investigation Sialkot Irfan Tariq as additional SP Sialkot.
