ISLAMABAD: It has been being revealed that after plundering the labour institution’s Wokers Welfare Fund (WWF) with both hands and after veiling of billions of rupees of corruption cases, the administration has now decided to give two bonuses to the ghost employees of the organisation. Sources told Daily Times that the administration had made a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to provide a two month salary as a bonus to employees ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 20. Sources say that if the organisation provides a two month salary as a bonus to the employees than it reaches to millions of rupees. This is labourers’ money and it is being looting with both hands. He further said that the Eid bonus was also giving to the ghost employees which were absent for an indefinite time and the institution had no information about them. The staff of the WWF are availing long leaves as they are doing their studies or their own business. Sources said that the WWF’s influential lobby gets the important evidence stolen and shows corruption on holidays. This issue had been called by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) two weeks ago. On the other hand, the former secretary and other officers who came on deputation had taken away precious belongings like laptops, motor cycles, mobile phones and other valuables of the organisation. When Daily Times contacted the Secretary WWF Qasim Samad for conformation of the news, his servant attended the phone and said that you should call later and after that the phone was powered off. It is worth mentioning here that the Workers Welfare Fund is a subsidiary organisation of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistan that works only for the labour’s welfare. The institution has provided death grants, marriage grants and other facilities to deserving labourers.
