Px09-050QUETTA: Jun09 Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal speaks during a press conference in Quetta.ONLINE PHOTO by Ahmad Kakar Justice Javed Iqbal, chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), on Thursday listened to public complaints about Mudarba/Musharka, housing societies, money laundering, abuse of authority and assets beyond means and directed the officials concerned to immediately resolve the issues of the people. The complaints related to regional bureaus were sent to relevant authorities for prompt action. The chairman after taking over the coveted responsibilities had announced listening to peoples complaints every month by himself and directed the regional bureaus heads to listen to public grievances personally every month and also resolve the issues. The chairman has so far listened to over 2,500 complaints and also referred hundreds of complaints to related bureaus from resolution. NAB has received more complaints in 2020 from those in 2019. NAB keeps a record of all applications and informs the complainant about the resolution. Justice Javed Iqbal has said that the goal of the bureau was corruption-free Pakistan. NAB is striving hard to nab the corrupt elements.
