LAHORE: A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) that appeals to ban the Indian movies from being played in Pakistan movie theatres until the issue of Indian-held Kashmir resolves. The plea has been filed by advocate Ishtiaq Chaudhary adopting a stance that Indian forces have started a brutal oppression in occupied Kashmir while Pakistani cinemas are promoting their movies. This is also included in the petition that government has adopted a dual policy in favour of Kashmir while putting their movies on display in country’s cinemas. However, this is against the law that Indian movies are not allowed to be exhibited in country. Hence, to show the solidarity with the innocent citizens of Kashmir the applicant called to ban Indian movies till the resolution of Kashmir. The court has summoned notification from the censor board in the next week.
