ISLAMABAD: While following the Lok Virsa scam here are some more facts which Daily Times investigated revealing that the Cosmos Productions Pvt Limited took Virsa Café on rent for just Rs 40,000 per month approximately.
According to sources Cosmos further illegally rented out the Virsa Café to the Chinese company on Rs 300,000 per month and all the utility bills will be paid by the Lok Virsa but Cosmos receive all the utility bills from the Chinese company and showing to Lok Virsa’s management that this café is in loss and we cannot pay the utility bills to you according to the agreement.
Moreover, the Daily Times found that National Institute of Cultural Studies (NICS) was given to the Cosmos for conducting just folk and cultural courses but NICS is doing something modern which are Camera Lighting & Post Production, Script Writing & Short Film, TV Direction Production, Hotel Management, Photography & Photoshop, Graphic Design, etc and does not represents Pakistan’s folk culture.
While Minister of Information, Culture and Heritage, Parvaiz Rasheed taking the notice on this scam and talked to Daily Times said he was fully unaware of this scam and he directed urgently to Director General, Lok Virsa and Secretary Information that to bring about all audit reports, legal agreements and findings of inquiry committee.
