‘Pakistan a battlefield for world powers’

KHYBER AGENCY: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government with the collaboration of USAID and Khwendokor on Wednesday organized a daylong seminar in which speakers agreed that insurance of individual financial security and social change was the basic guarantee that can play a vital role for sustainable peace and stability of a country.

The seminar, titled “Peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, was attended by a large number of local government members, teachers, civil society members and journalists.

Speaking on the occasion, guest speaker and social activist doctor Fida Jan said that world powers used Pakistan as battle field where they played war to protect their own citizens. He said thousands of innocent people of different walks of life have been killed and displaced. Jan said United States of America created rifts among Muslims countries to sale her weapons and boost her economy.

Town-III member and Jamiat Ulema Islam senior leader Asad Khan Shinwari said that it was the prime responsibility of both the government and none profitable organizations to launch different programs to develop a healthy society. He said religious scholars should also play their due role to further strengthen religious harmony among all sects and people with different religions in Pakistan.

Asad said the dream of peace and stability could come true when everyone impart their due role and raise voice for voiceless to promote peace and stability in the society.

Asad Shinwari urged people to shun their internal differences and work for prosperous and developed Pakistan.

He said individually everyone in their respective capacity should also cooperate with the government and other concerned departments to maintain peace in the country. Senior politician and social activist, Ayesha Hassan said Islam teaches peace and brotherhood between Muslims and none Muslims in the country. She said every individual should start from his or her own self and work to bring about tolerance in the society.

Jamrud elementary college vice principal Tajir Khan said provision of cheap and easy justice to citizens a step toward peace and stability in Pakistan.
