ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Tuesday demanded strict action against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief and the party’s “militant wing”. “Altaf Hussain enticed his workers to attack journalists and raise anti-Pakistan slogans. Which country allows a man sitting in London to instigate violence on its soil?” Imran asked during a press conference in Islamabad. Imran Khan stated that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief was responsible for the devastation of the city of lights (Karachi), further adding that key personalities in the city were killed one by one. The PTI chief stated that an apology should be sought if an unfortunate incident occurred only once, adding that the MQM chief had a history regarding repeating the same offence. He stated that the Muttahida chief spoke against Pakistan on Indian soil, further stating that the MQM chief flew to India on the invitation of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Imran Khan stated that the British government promised to take action against MQM chief but took no measures later on. He enquired why the British government wasn’t taking any action against a man who was involved in committing target killings in Karachi for past two decades. “Those who destroyed the peace of Karachi committed the murder of policemen one after another after the operation done in the city by (Major General) Naseerullah Babar,” Khan said, further holding the Muttahida chief responsible for Karachi’s devastation. He stated that the children of the mohajir community had great affection towards Pakistan and the tone being used by MQM chief in his speeches was not used anywhere in the world. While conversing about the Panama Leaks issue, Khan said that a resolution shall be moved in the Khyber Pakhtukhwa (KP) Assembly against no action being taken over the issue, adding that the party shall head to the Supreme Court (SC) after making this move. He warned that a sea of people would head towards Lahore on September 3. The PTI Chairman stated that he did not hold any post but he did not know why the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was barring him from carrying out processions in a public rally in Jhelum.
