Due to scorching heat wave, 25 women and men and 30 children were admitted at Civil Hospital Dadu.
Dadu experienced a hottest day of the season on Tuesday, as mercury raised to 49 degree Celsius. Health department established the heat stroke centers at civil hospital Dadu, taluka hospitals KN Shah, Johi and Mehar.
Doctors advised people to remain in door and should use water, ORS to protect them from increasing heat weave in Dadu and its surrounding parts. The bazaars, roads and streets, business hubs gave a deserted look in Dadu city after lunch time on Tuesday due to scorching heat.
While, the traffic also remain very low at different roads of Dadu district like Dadu-Johi,Dadu-Moro, Dadu-KN Shah and Dadu-Sehwan roads, owing to increasing scorching heat in Dadu district. As soon as, mercury rose 49 degree Celsius, People rushed to Dadu canal near Dadu city for swimming to protect them from scorching heat.
Citizens demanded from district administration and Taluka Municipal Administration Dadu to establish water tanks/sabeels at different places in city of Dadu for supplying cold drinking water to protect them from scorching heat. Speaking with reporter, Civil Surgeon of the civil hospital Dadu, Dr Abdul Hameed Meerani said that a heat stroke centre was established at civil hospital Dadu. He said that drips and other medicines were available at civil hospital for the protection of people from heat stroke.
The In-charge children ward of the civil hospital/Child specialist, Dr Allah Bux Korejo said that owing to scorching heat, the ratio of gastro patients among children had increased. He said that 30 children were reported due to gastro at civil hospital Dadu. He said that ratio of gastro patients among children will increase more day by day due to scorching heat. He advised parents to not allow their children to go out from homes in scorching heat. He said that children should use the fresh food, cold water and ORS in day times.
According to DHO Dadu, Dr Zahid Hussain Dawachh said that after noon people should remain indoors and should use ORS and water for the protection of heatstroke. He said that facilities was provided at civil hospital Dadu and taluka hospitals KN Shah, Mehar and Johi for the protection of heat stroke and heat stroke centres were established.
While, social activists and CEO of an NGO Society for Research and heritages Dr Manzoor Ali Khushik distributed cold juices among people to protect them from heat stroke in different parts of city.
