‘Sindh political diehard to quit PML-F soon, join PPP’

KARACHI: Ghaus Bux Khan Mehar PML-F MNA and former Federal Minister in PML-Q government and his son Shehryar Mahar PML-F member Sindh Assembly are expected to join the PPPin the near future. Recently PML-F MPA Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh had resigned and has joined the PPP.

A young vibrant PML-F MPA and former leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Shehryar Mahar has returned from Dubai after discussions. When asked about the objectives of meeting by Times , the answer was affirmative.

Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani is also in meetings with old times PPP colleague and PML-F stalwart MNA Ghous Bux Mahar, ex-Federal Railways Minister during the PML-Q government.

Ghous Bux Mahar was associated with PPP in Shikarpur from October 19, 1993 to February 22, 1997. Latter he won 2013 elections from Lakhi Ghulam Shah NA-203 Shikarpur-II on PML-F ticket and defeated PPP candidate Sardar Wahid Bux Bhayo.

A senior politician confirmed to Times few other PML-F MPAs, besides Ghaus Bux Maher and his MPA son would also join the PPP. He claimed that there is no role of PML-F in Sindh politics and its leaders have decided to leave the party.

Sources disclosed that efforts are underway to invite PML-F MPA Jam Madad Ali and others to join PPP by Eid-ul-Azha.

According to sources, task was given to Agha Siraj Durrani by its leadership for holding meetings with former PPP MPA Agha Taimoor Khan Pathan, ex-MPA Meer Babal Khan Bhayo and some others a few days back. He visited Mahar House in Wazirabad village and thanked Ghous Bux Maher for supporting PPP candidates in LG elections who were elected unopposed in Shikarpur constituency.
