Published on: April 8, 2020 4:13 AM

Unlike the current political division in Pakistan, a group of Pakistani Americans belonging to various political parties have been united in the United States of America for the welfare of South Asian communities amid the outbreak of coronavirus.

As President Trump has announced the signing of $2 trillion stimulus bill to help the poor American families amid the outbreak of Corona Virus, a team of Pakistani Americans has taken the lead in connecting all South Asian communities living in 50 states of America. Five members of each party including PML-N, PPP, PML-Q, PTI, and MQM will be helping the financial victims of Corona Virus.

It is a proud moment for Pakistan that Pakistani Americans have been leading various communities of South Asia to get help from the American federal government. President Pak-USA Foundation Shahab Qarni who has been facilitating the team of Pakistani Americans in this cause, told that the package is for financial victims hit by corona virus. “We have made a web portal named “helponline.world” and motto is to help South Asian communities and to secure their rights at federal and state level”. This web portal contains all the necessary guidance about the package announced by White House and how south Asian communities can procure these funds for rehabilitation of personal businesses, small businesses and health related assistance, he added. He told that the web portal contains all important information pertaining to small business administration and disaster loan relief facilitation in six different South Asian languages including Bengali, Hindi, Nepali, Urdu and Persian. Qarni told that Pak-USA foundation is acting like a connecting bridge between federal government and various non-profit organizations and NGOs to get the best out of this trickled down package.

Former Senator of PPP Akbar Khawaja said, in these hard times, whole world has realized that only those who have been serving their fellow brethren are respectable in all humans. He said that giving the best suggestion and guidance in also an act of kindness and here we will guide financial victims of Corona Virus.

Hafiz Habibullah of PML-N is leading the Pakistani community in Virginia. He told that our aim to provide a link between people in need and various inter Government agencies. Johnny Bashir, PTI USA President said that the need of the hour is that we all should forget political differences and serve humanity. Chauhdry Shamshad of PML-Q said that we should raise above the divisions of sect, religion, cast, colour and creed and assemble to serve our people.

Syed Abid Hussain told that Pakistani Americans, maintaining their legacy of charity and kind heartedness, have been volunteered to lead their South Asian brethren. He told that it is an open secret that Pakistan is among first five charity nations and biggest charity networks exist in Pakistan. Our target is to provide guidance to 1 million South Asian Families in procuring financial assistance, he said.

Najibullah Sidiki, goodwill ambassador from Afghanistan told that he can be contacted for public and private sector assistance. He praised Shahab qarni for providing a platform to all the communities of South Asia.
