SSP Masood Bangash took severe action against his subordinates on Tuesday for their failure to strictly enforce the orders of the provincial government of complete lockdown. Bangash dismissed from service 19 cops including two sub inspectors, three ASIs and 12 constables. They included SIPs Allah Wadhayo Noonari and Sajjad Bhatti. ASIs included Hidayatullah Sangi, Mukhtiar Sangi and Ali Sher Shaikh. Constables included Muhammad Ismail, Umaid Ali Shah, Naveed Pirzado, Barkat Ali, Khadim Hussain, Ghafoor, Manzoor, Aijaz and others. Meanwhile, Bangash has said while talking to newsmen in Naundero where he reached on Tuesday to review lock down that police is taking all precautionary measure to make lock down completely successful so that people could be save from Corona Virus infection. He claimed that with the efforts of Larkana police complete lock down is being observed throughout the district. He said police officials are taking all measures to force residents to stay home for their own protection so that their health remained safe. He said we are trying our best to force people not to violate Section 144 in their own interest. He said those who have been arrested will be let off after issuing them last warning not to come out again or else they will not be spared. On the other hand, PSO to the SSP. Muzaffar Khalidi, accompanied by cops visited various areas in Naundero and arrested 29 taxi drivers from taxi stand who were sitting jointly in several numbers and other people who were found violating government orders. They were locked at Naundero police station. The hometown of Bhutto leaders remained shut except those shops which have been allowed to do their daily business for the benefit of citizens of Naundero and its nearby villages. Meanwhile, reports said that people living in thickly populated areas in Larkana city continued to violate Section 144. These localities include Nazar Muhalla, Bhains Colony, Allahabad Muhalla, Shahbaz Colony, Kausar Mill, Rasul Abad, Ayoob Colony, Siddique Colony, Rahmatpur and others. The residents complained to newsmen through phone calls that people are constantly ignoring government instructions and police is non-visible. Localities where complete lock down was observed include Bank Square Road, Bundar Road, Pakistan Chowk, VIP Road, Lahori Muhalla, Jelus Bazaar, Shahi Bazaar, Resham Gali, Station Road, Royal Road, Gajanpur Chowk, Naundero Chowk, Bakrani Road, Municipal Stadium Road and others. The residents of these areas remained confined to their homes.The social workers, notables and traders have demanded of the government to enforce complete lock down orders in backward localities of Larkana city as well including entire district to save people from the COROVID-19 infection. Meanwhile, large number of citizens participated in forgiveness prayers held at over 300 mosques of Larkana last night. The residents also made Calls to Prayer (Azan) while standing on their homes’ rooftops and prayed for mercy of Allah (SWT).
