Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the conspirators should compare the tenure of looters of national exchequer with the rule of the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. He stated this while talking to senior PTI leader Jehangir Khan Tareen who called on him at Chief Minister Secretariat on Monday. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including matters pertaining to Southern Punjab came under discussion. Usman Buzdar said that the PTI government will complete its term under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The conspirators should justify the loot made in their tenure and the politics of those, who made the country bankrupted, has ended forever, he added. He emphasized that conspirators will remain unsuccessful and the propagandists will also face defeat. The government has remained involved in public-welfare during the last one and a half years. On the contrary, the past rulers spent billions of rupees on their personal projections, he lamented. The government will burn the midnight oil to fulfil the promises as it performs and does not make false claims. The matter of southern Punjab secretariat will be solved amicably, he added. Speaking on the occasion, Jehangir Tareen said that most transparent government is constantly engaged in public service under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The opposition has no agenda. The opposition parties are scattered due to chaos. He made it clear that in-house change will not occur nor there would be any mid-term elections. The hopes of dreamers will remain unfulfilled and PTI will also win the next elections. He further said the progress made with regard to the establishment of southern Punjab secretariat is praiseworthy. Meanwhile, Usman Buzdar has directed to constitute a special committee to deal with the welfare of the minorities. He stated this while chairing a meeting about development projects and welfare of minorities at his office. The minority members of the provincial assembly presented their proposals. Talking on this occasion, the chief minister said the government will take all minorities along and they will be given equal share for inclusive development. He pointed out that Holi and Diwali grants are being given for the first time in Punjab. Rs70 lac has been given as Holi grant to the Hindus and Rs6 crore has been allocated for minority communities, he said. The minority empowerment package of Punjab is a worth-following step for other provinces. Under this package, gurdwaras, Hindu temples and churches will be repaired and necessary facilities will be provided at the religious places of minority communities, he added. The development projects will be designed after consultation with the representatives of minority communities and their problems will be resolved by the government, concluded the chief minister. Provincial ministers Samiullah Ch., Ijaz Alam, parliamentary secretary Mahinder Pall Singh, assembly members Haroon Imran Gill, Peter Gill, Chief Whip Abbas Ali Shah and others attended the meeting.
