Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has invited senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan Dr Farooq Sattar to join the PML-N. A delegation of the PML-N, headed by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi along with Ahsan Iqbal, former governor M Zubair, Maryam Aurangzeb and Musadik Malik met Farooq Sattar at his residence in Karachi. The PML-N delegation conveyed a message of goodwill to MQM Pakistan leader and invited him to join the party. The delegation also invited Farooq Sattar to work together for the promotion of democracy and development of the country. To a question Ahsan Iqbal said that the Muslim League is a party of Urdu-speaking people’s forefathers, adding that everyone is welcome. “We are here to welcome all of you.” The PML-N delegation said that Farooq Sattar has a very important role in domestic politics, joining PMLN will benefit democracy. Farooq Sattar said that it was great to see that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi came with the delegation. We have known each other for 30 years, have worked together in parliament. Speaking on the occasion former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Karachi is the heart of Pakistan. If this city does not develop, then Pakistan may not progress. After meeting it was being said that MQM-P has also agreed for re-election. Dr Farooq’s spokesperson later denied the reports, saying that he did not agree for re-election.
