ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan have agreed to not stop the Raiwind march of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf. The chief minister has issued instructions to proactive party leaders and workers to remain calm. Reliable sources confirmed that Chaudhary Nisar met Shahbaz Sharif and told him that agencies said there was a chance of clashes during the PTI’s protest at Raiwind. The interior minister warned the chief minister that even if any minor loss took place during the march, the provincial government and PML(N) leadership would be held responsible, which would create more problems for the government. Shahbaz Sharif said during the meeting that he would advise the leaders and workers of his party to remain peaceful. It is reported that PML (N) workers are very annoyed by the march as well as the style of Imran Khan’s politics. During the meeting, foolproof security arrangements for the march were also reviewed, to ensure no untoward incident occurs like the one in Model Town in 2014. After the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif issued the directives to his party leadership and workers that those who were violent during the PTI’s march at Raiwind, would be expelled from PML (N).
