Corruption is horrific disease for society and it brings many troubles and diseases and demolishes future of forthcoming generation therefore for the larger interests of the society officers and officials must stop taking bribe and play their role to eliminate corruption culture and termed corruption culture is main obstacle in the way to the path of development. This was said by Riaz Ahmed Memon, Assistant Director Bureau of Supply & Prices Shikarpur, addressing a rally, which was taken out from Government Primary School Qazi Habibullah up to Lakhidar Clock Tower, to celebrate anti-corruption week, here on Monday. Mr Memon further said that Sindh government has committed to eliminate corruption culture and in this regard on the directives of the worthy Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur Rahim Bakhsh Maitlo we are arranging rallies against corruption to aware general public to discourage the practice of corruption for the better future of their next generation and urged upon the people of Shikarpur to discourage the practice of corruption in government offices and resolve their outstanding issues without giving bribe. Mr Shoukat Baloch, the Statistical Officer Bureau of Statistic Shikarpur, said on the occasion that corrupt officer or official do not remain happy in his routine life and termed corruption culture as ulcer and horrific disease and he was certain to continue war against corruption till its end. Aqeel Ahmed, Ghulam Mustafa, Shahid Akhtar, Rashid Qureshi, Abdul Waheed, Pervaiz Ali, Shahnawaz Mahar and others participated in the rally and raised their voice against corruption. Separately, District Council Shikarpur also taken out a rally which was led by Agha Jalaluddin, the chief officer Shikarpur, against corruption and urged upon the people of Shikarpur to discourage the practice of corruption. A large number of people also participated in the rally and vowed to discourage the practice of corruption and acclaimed the efforts of Sindh government. Naqsh Nayab Mangi remembered Meanwhile, an elegant ceremony to pay great tribute to intellectual, poet and famous writer Naqsh Nayab Mangi, an author of many books, was held at the residence of Sain Abdul Jabbar Eijuz Mangi by Sindh Sughand Adabi Sangat Shikarpur. Humair Chandio, the famous columnist, presided over the ceremony while Waheed Phulpoto, senior journalist, was honorable guest in the program. Humair Chandio, Azhar Azad Mughal, famous educationist, Muhabat Bablani, Ghulam Ali Gul Memon, Nasim Bukhari, Imtiaz Mangi, and others paid rich homage to Naqsh Nayab Mangi and said that not only Naqsh Mangi had status of an institute but also he had great persons who wrote many books over Shikarpur while his son Haseeb Nayab Mangi committed to complete the uncompleted work of his father. Waheed Phulpoto, the senior journalist, said that Naqsh Nayab Mangi had born on 7th December 1948 while he loved a lot with Shikarpur and his shadow is seen in his completed work. The renowned poets and people belonging to different walk of live including Shafiq Asim, Mukhtiar Soomro, Shakeel Jaan Pathan, Abdul Jabbar Abid, Faiz Soomro, and others participated and paid great tribute to Naqsh Nayab Mangi on the eve of his birthday.
