PTI sit-in not for political gains but to invite martial law: Bilour

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) central president and Member of National Assembly Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s sit-in protest was not for political aims but he want to invite Martial Law in the country but he failed in his failure attempt.

Addressing a press conference at his residence on Friday, Bilour said that because of the continuous martial law in the country Pakistan faced severe difficulties in the past. Now Pakistan has no further strength to face martial law, he added.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the most affected province due to war and terror and the people of the province sacrifices their near and dear one in the war, adding that in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project western should be part of KP.He further added that the federal government wants to give benefits only to Punjab province from the CPEC project, adding that federal government were still playing tactics with KP people and still no work on the ground on western route of the project.

Bilour further added that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan wants to derail democracy in the country, adding that ANP will never support any act which is against the democracy in the country.

He added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister misguided some pashtoon, adding that a few people attack on Islamabad as it will affect the integrity of the country and ANP will never allow anyone to harm the integrity of Pakistan.

He inform that more than three years has been passed of the PTI government in KP but the PTI chairman just focusing on Islamabad on the seat of Prime Minister and were focusing on Punjab while ignoring the KP people who give mandate to PTI.

He appreciated the Punjab government, police and Frontier Constabulary for stopping the workers of PTI, adding that PTI leader wants to shed the blood of Pashtoon but thanks to the Punjab police and FC that they stopped them.

He inform and claim that the people of KP were disappoint from PTI as their agenda were only Punjab and Islamabad while ignoring the people of KP , adding that in the next general election the people of KP will rejected PTI in the election, he claim.
