LRH equipped with modern healthcare technologies

PESHAWAR: Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) as Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) has been equipped with modern technologies to provide all facilities to the patients.

This was stated by Dr Arshid Javeed Dean of LRH while talking with media here at LRH hospital Peshawar on Tuesday.

He said that around 600 staff was recruited in the hospital including doctors and parmedical staff while more 200 staff will be soon recruited in the hospital, adding that the shortage of staff will be covered with this recruitment.

He further said that after the Medical Teaching Institution Act has been enacted in the hospitals. In all the hospitals including LRH, everything was on merit including recruitment. He said that before the MTI there was recruitment in hospitals on political basis.

He further inform that physiotherapy department has been established in the hospital as the experts were brought from Karachi, adding that before some trainee doctors were getting difficulties while getting training from the hospitals but now all the problems has been solve.

Arshid Javed said that people were now give priority to public hospitals and all the facilities of health were available to them, adding that LRH were providing best health care facilities to the people with all their limited resources.

On the occasion Medical Director Dr. Mukhtiar Zaman said that Board of Governor (BOG) of the hospital was approve CP fund for the employee of the hospital and account has been open for the employee of the hospital.

He informs that the duration of Out-door Patients Department has been extended to 24 hours in the hospital while emergency and OPD counter were separated simultaneously.

He added that four CT-Scan machine were established in the hospital while MRI machine will be soon reach to the hospital where patients will get all the facilities.

Hospital direct Hamid Saeed Haq said that new system has been established for presence of employee as anyone of the employee which were absent he may be send a message and all the monitoring will did the hospital.

He added that LRH hospital is the biggest and one of the oldest hospital of the province where from the entire province patients were reach for the treatment, adding that the hospital administration first priority to give and provide standard health facilities to the patients.
