Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf needs to be fast in presenting to the international community the clear-cut picture in Kashmir. I don’t need to narrate India’s brutish acts in Jammu and Kashmir. This Monday, I tweeted that we don’t have time to waste in understanding the background or the diplomatic conspiracy behind Modi’s ‘predictable’ sick moves. I had then maintained that this was the time to react. A critical and significant footnote here is that sane Indian minds, including the majority of public and opposition, are not ready to own such stupid, inhuman and blind aggressive actions. If a bullet crosses an individual in a candid situation, without any doubt, he will react, instead of thinking about the motive/reason behind him being shot; the debate of possible reactions aside. Having said that, is Pakistan’s claim of owning the Kashmir and its people a joke? It was very unfortunate to hear such superficial and stupid self-interest-based debates of parliamentarians. Someone needs to make them realise they are no longer speaking in school unions and debating societies. Being a voter in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, I write in shame that these ignoranuses were once again busy in point-scoring, in a comparatively sugar-coated form, even on such a grave and unusual issue. We, as a nation, are responsible for them. I bet the majority of them are neither aware of the Islamic required conduct (talking about “Islamic Republic of Pakistan”) nor about the real diplomatic position of Jammu and Kashmir as per international laws and regulations. Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry’s position was comparatively better and principled although I am not in the position to claim his real motive behind it. This article will tend to fill the vacuum about Pakistan’s required reactions/positions against this grave and defining situation. Firstly, everyone is an addressee. Nobody needs to be reminded that at the time of separation/independence, it was decided under the supervision of Mountbatten that the annexation of this disputed region would be as per the will of its people. So, Maharaja Hari Singh had no jurisdiction to decide it alone. Can a sole legal owner sell the property without consulting the beneficiaries? Would equity allow it? Thus, factually, the “Instrument of Accession” had no legal basis. It was the very incompetence of Pakistan that it was not able to convince international institutions and especially the community on this point. We were diplomatically foolish enough for being exploited and manipulated. The dictator mindset fought three, already won, wars and lost them. We need to understand that India was successful in showing the world Pakistan’s underground military involvement in India as well as Jammu and Kashmir. For some, they were freedom fighters and, for others, they were terrorists. Irrespective of judge’s bias or affiliations, a lawyer’s first and foremost duty is to roar crystal-clear arguments. Laws and the audience in the courtroom also play a role in decision-making. We were diplomatically foolish enough for being exploited and manipulated. The dictator mindset fought three, already won, wars and lost them. We need to understand that India was successful in showing the world Pakistan’s underground military involvement in India as well as Jammu and Kashmir Having said that, nobody teaches our students that Hari Singh used an ‘Instrument of Accession’ and compelled India to give Kashmir an independent and autonomous status, which was given under the recently abrogated article 370. It was also clearly mentioned that no change could be made in it unilaterally. By abrogating this, India has also made the document (already illegal) null and void. It’s crystal-clear that it’s not, geographically, the internal issue of the state of India. Will they be allowed to do this in the Indian Ocean (where mere resources would be at stake)? Yet, it is being done in an area with almost 13 million people. Shame on the whole world and the so-called torchbearers of human rights. Wait, you have another diplomatic and easy option: remove Kashmiri people from the human category. India is committing grave violations of UN charters and many other useless agreements. The infamous 9/11 was a mere attack on one building of the US. Without sound evidence but while being proactive, the member states of NATO had then become highly sensitive to ensure peace in the world. While using their excellent abilities, their leader, the US, had also prevented the whole world from the chemical damage of Iraq. But ironically, the selective peace organisation (NATO) is now sleeping, when open fires and bombing are being used against a population of 13 million. Now, the addressees are the Muslims and the state (Islamic Republic of Pakistan). The bare minimum interpretation of Jihad in Islam is to stand and fight in the defence when any of your innocent Muslim brothers/sisters are being attacked (not subscribing to Syed Qutab’s interpretation). Your brothers are being butchered, and your sisters are being raped. The cost of a funeral is many more deaths. It is not a mere moral obligation. We are under a strict duty to stand for them. Moreover, JI’s Siraj-ul-Haq was right in pointing out that their next target would be Gilgit. Keep struggling in every possible way, as the word of Jihad, used in Quran, means “to struggle” not “to fight” in particular. Roar your voices to the whole world. Remember how America was forced to end the Vietnam War. By writing this article, I am also performing Jihad in my capacity. But, crucially, the state has to react and take a firm stance. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf needs to be fast in presenting to the international community the clear-cut picture as stated above. Also, the government needs to keep the public in touch as nations live on the food of trust. They have taken some good steps after the national security meeting headed by PM, but they need to do more. After presenting the clear picture and convincing the Muslim world, including the OIC members, they need to give an ultimatum to India to stop the animalism and come to the table to humanly decide on Kashmir. They should be given the fundamental and democratic right to decide their future. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood or anyone else doesn’t need to impose the slogan “Kashmir bane ga Pakistan.” Rather, a clear message should be given that Pakistan would send its forces in Kashmir to protect the innocents.
