Registration of bogus nursing schools revealed

Published on: November 29, 2016 4:59 AM

ISLAMABAD: The changing in the record of the Pakistan Nursing Council has revealed the registration of several bogus nursing schools.

When a Junior Clerk gave an application to the Registrar of the Council regarding the alteration of official record, no action was taken against it from the relevant quarter. He also affixed some evidences of altering the record with his application. He said in his application that on November 4 some bogus entries were made in the record which he did not put in the record.

When these entries were checked through a computer, it was disclosed that a counterfeit networking was formed which is linked to the computer of a lady employee of the council on which the applicant finished the clandestine computer sharing. The administrator of the Pakistan Nursing Council is still sticking to his seat illegally despite his tenure was expired on November 21, which is not only a sheer violation of the rules but also a big question mark on the performance of the Ministry of National Health.

It is divulged that some staff of the council are making changes in the record of the Pakistan Nursing Council just to register fake nursing schools and in return get heavy bribe from the owners of the private bogus nursing schools.

On October 28 the registrar of the Council, Fauzia Mushtaq, had written a letter to the President PNC in which she complained against two temporary employees, Wasim Ahmed and Irfan that they both went through her office and used abusive language and beat her badly with punches and slaps. But no disciplinary action was taken against both the contract employees of the Council who had rushed into the office of the Registrar Fauzia Mushtaq and not only abused her but also thumped her. He Young Nurses Association has announced a protest call in case no action was taken against those who invaded the Registrar’s office.

The President of Young Nurses Association, Abdul Sattar Barohi, has said in this regard that if the ministry did not take action against the wrong doers, they would stage a powerful protest outside the ministry .

When Daily Times tried to contact the Secretary Health Ayub Sheikh , he did not give any response, and the mobile phone of the State Minister for Health was powered off.
