KHAIRPUR: The 82nd Birth Anniversary of legend poet, Dr. Tanveer Abbasi, was celebrated on Wednesday at the Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur. The event was organized by the Dr. Tanveer Abbasi Institute of Creative Literature. Presiding over the meeting, Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor SALU said that Dr. Tanveer Abbasi was an institution himself and his literary works for Sindhi literature was remarkable. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, who is also the Dean, Faculty of Arts & Languages, said that Dr. Tanveer Abbasi was an enlightened poet. His poetry was full of love, affection and humanism. “He was a universal figure and worked for the promotion of education, research and literature,” he added.
