Sunday marked the coming of age for Movements. Launched two years ago by Sonraj under the well established and protective wing of Collectibles, it has more than earned its place as an exciting stand alone brand catering to the discriminating and fashion conscious watch buyer in Pakistan. In recognition of the brands relaxed and stylish take on life, the new journey for Movements began at Café Aylanto in Karachi on Sunday during which Sarwat Gilani and Fahad Mirza joined Movements by describing their own journey. The Mirza couple is a friend of the brand Movements and showcased Bomberg watches at the brunch. Speaking after the brunch, Sattar said, “I felt it was time for Movements to flex its muscles a little. It has quickly established a loyal customer following and now is the perfect time to remove the Collectibles association. This was always our aim but it’s happened much earlier due to the dynamism of the category it caters for. Having Sarwat and Fahad join us and our guests has made this day particularly special. As one year comes to an end and another begins, we all turn our minds to new journeys and Movements is off to a flying start.” Corporate Strategy head Mark Izatt added, “As part of Sonraj group’s commitment to nourishing and supporting local talent and creativity, we endeavour to activate with our international brands, delivering opportunities that promote that home grown talent on the world stage.” The event was organised and arranged by the creative team behind Catwalk and Catalyst.
