Increasing population

Published on: April 20, 2019 2:48 AM

Sir: If we were to focus on a single issue that has directly caused many of Pakistan’s woes. It would be the sheer number of people now jostling for space and resources. ‘Increasing population dwindling resources’.

Even richer countries would struggle to cope with such a rapid increase. Had Pakistan a better record of governance we still would not have been able to feed cloth, house, and educate these teeming millions.

Due to the rapid growth in population, health, education and shortage of power we are facing as a major social issue moreover, water scarcity is increasing.

We are developing country with high growth rate of population is the cause of our backwardness. Pakistan needs to create around two million jobs to absorb the young people who enter the market. Every year currently 4m youths aged between 15 and 24 years are employed by 2020 this number is expected to rise to 8.6.

Many jobless youths turn to crime, drugs and some taken jihadist route. We are facing Government should promote and invest in health and education sectors. If literacy rate increase in country the people will aware how to control reproductivity. Increase in literacy rate fertility rate also decrease.
