Sir: A prominent district of Sindh, Tharparkar has been rotting in the stem of hell. Without ambiguity, there are colossal problems but few infamous I would like to highlight such as underage children marriage dilemma, poor education, honour killing, religious dilemma, famine and malnutrition.
Few days ago, two videos began to spread on Pakistan’s social media. It was shown that two underage Hindu girls named Reena and Raveena were converted to Muslim and married.
Besides, in footage girls said voluntarily that we accepted Islam with core of heart and no one has forced us to change our religious. However, according to accounts by their family, both were abducted from their homes and forceful married to sate the zealotry of local religious extremist.
However, girls were not present in the court so that judge can ask same questions, ensuring that they were not being threatened by anyone and they have converted their religious by own wish. Rhetoric should be heard with instinct perception and intellectually. There is dire need of decisive action; Indian can manipulate this act can blame that Pakistan is an example of ‘Islamic extremist’ country.
Moreover, in Tharparkar there are colossal famine, most of newborn babies are dying due to malnutrition and measles. Last year, a UN study found that four percent of Pakistani children received a ‘minimally acceptable diet’ while remaining are at edge of calamities. Our PM’s 11-points rhetoric agenda still seem improbable.
