As many as 14 replacement cases were detected by Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE), Larkana teams on Saturday in Chemistry paper-I, out of which six were in Larkana and eight in Dadu districts. Annual examinations of SSC Part-I and II are underway in the entire province but usage of unfair means by the students is still continuing despite provincial education minister’s tour and strict warnings to the invigilators, principals and headmasters. The teams also captured 137 copy cases and 260 impersonators across Larkana Division and Dadu district which shows the gravity of the menace which has deepened its roots among the society as even parents have been seen encouraging & supporting their sons & daughters to use cheating methods. On the direction of the Secretary, Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi, BISE Larkana Deputy Secretary Sikander Ali Mirjat, has cancelled the examination center of Government Higher Secondary School, Khairpur Juso, on account of “grave mismanagement”. The remaining papers of SSC Part-I & II annual exam will now be conducted at Government Higher Secondary School of Wagan, for which the relevant Principal has been directed to inform all the students. The education department proved to be incompetent to hold annual exams in free and fair atmosphere. The department cancelling the exam center causing hardships to hundreds of the students but usage of unfair means failed to be overcome. “We will have to take foolproof actions and bring drastic changes in our existing education & exam systems or else, cheaters will continue to be produced who will govern our next generations in future”, opined a retired teacher.
