ISLAMABAD: The Ramna Police have booked three accused persons during an operation and recovered 225 litres liquor from their possession. A pistol was also recovered from the possession of one of the accused. As per details, on tips off, the SP Saddar, Zeeshan Haider, had issued directions to the Ramna Police to conduct an operation against criminals. Following the directions, Haji Shabbir, Sub-Inspector of Ramna Police Station constituted a raiding team and raided the residence of Tanveer s/o Rashid Ahmed in Meharabad, an area which falls in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramna. The raiding team during the operation apprehended the accused Tanveer and recovered some 15 bottles of liquor. During the investigation, the accused Tanveer s/o Rashid Ahmed disclosed the other two accused identified as Ilyas Masih s/o Inayat Masih and Shamsher. Both the accused were allegedly involved in liquor and illegal weapon selling. The police, on the identification of the accused have conducted a raid and apprehended the accused Ilyas Masih and Shamsher. The police during the operation recovered 210 litres of liquor manufactured for selling and also recovered a 30-bore pistol without licence from the possession of Shamsher. The Ramna Police have registered a case against the three accused and have started an investigation. Haji Shabbir, the Investigation Officer of the case said that the accused were arrested on the directions of the SP while sieging the area. The apprehended accused were allegedly involved in the heinous crime of liquor selling.
