ISLAMABAD: On the recommendation of the Promotion Committee, the Inspector General of Punjab Police, Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera, has given the approval to promote 74 Inspectors including six lady officers to the DSP rank. Daily Times came to know that the provincial government has issued the notification of the promotion of 68 police officers while six officers are working on deputation in different departments and their promotion would be notified after they re-join their duty in Punjab police. Six police inspectors among the promoted officers were performing their duties in Rawalpindi district before their promotion including Masood Azhar who is appointed as DSP Investigation (IV) Rawalpindi. Zaigham Abbas is posted on the slot of DSP Waris Khan , Muhammad Ghayyas is transferred to DSP Chua Saidan Shah, Syed Kazim Naqvi is posted as SDPO Chakwal. Javed Hassan is deputed as SDPO Saddar and Muhammad Anwar is being sent on the post of SDPO Jand. The six ladies who got promotion including DSP Sajida Begum is posted as DSP City Traffic Police People’s Colony Faisalabad, DSP Rukhsana Kausar is transferred to the seat of DSP Women Police Station Lahore, DSP Shabeena Karim is posted as DSP Investigation (II) Multan, DSP Atiya Naheed is posted on the slot of DSP Punjab Highways Patrol Lahore, DSP Nighat Firdous has been posted to DSP(Headquarters) Khushab and DSP Nasim Akhtar is posted on the vacant post of DSP Traffic Rawalpindi. The Inspector General Punjab Police has also ordered transfers and postings of seven DSPs . According to which SDPO Qila Deedar Singh Ghulam Muhammad has been posted to SDPO Kharian , Ali Akhtar SDPO Patoki has been transferred to SDPO Saddar Shiekhupura, SDPO North Cantt Lahore Mansoor-ul-Hassan is posted to DSP Law and Order Lahore, SDPO Saddar Sahiwal Shahid Ikram has been posted on the slot of SDPO Zafarwal, SDPO Samanabad Lahore Shahid Ahmed Khan is transferred to the seat of DSP Mobiles Model Town Lahore. Whereas DSP Zahid Abbas and DSP Zia Ullah Khan who were deputed at Traffic Headquarters Lahore have been sent to DSP Constabulary Farooqabad.
