‘People who blame the woman for the divorce reveal poor parenting’

Model cum actor Mathira is taking no hostages as she claps back at trolls. The performer has previously shared details about her divorce with DJ Flint J in various social media posts. “Being divorced is no sin. This taboo of the word talaqshuda (divorcee) should stop. Every girl has a right to live!! So live and let live,” she shot back at a troll, who commented on one of the VJ’s recent pictures on Instagram. Mathira didn’t stop there, in another tweet she called out people for judging others by their appearance: “I think we should stop blaming and judging others by their appearance and what they wear because many people are in disguise. What I wear is to make me happy. What’s your problem?”

Speaking exclusively to Daily Times, Mathira went on to say that all the trolls who always blame the woman for being divorced were completely wrong and their attitude showed a lack of respect for women and reflected poor upbringing. “I would like to say to all the men who think that divorce is 100 percent the woman’s fault, you are wrong and your ignorance and lack of respect shows your home atmosphere,” she began, adding “Maybe they had the wrong parenting and poor upbringing”.

‘When you are raising a child in an abusive relation and when they (the children) witness abuse every day it becomes normal and that person carries that exact mentality for other people and that is wrong’

“When you are raising a child in an abusive relation and when they (the children) witness abuse every day it becomes normal and that person carries that exact mentality for other people and that is wrong,” the VJ went on to say.

The actress said that she felt “sorry” for all the people who were trolling her because they think it’s normal and maybe it’s because they saw it happening in their own homes. “They must have seen their fathers abuse their mothers and now they think that women are not worth much and that’s wrong,” said Mathira.

“And to all the mothers I would like to say one thing that when you are raising a child, make sure that you teach your son and even daughters to respect every woman. Instead of judging a woman they should mind their own business. Sharam aik mard ki aankh mein bhi hona chaye if they don’t like someone they should not look at the person and just go away. They should not first indulge in tharak bazi and also write shit. I don’t like hypocrites and this is for everyone I have also been trolled by women and I would like to say don’t act like you know me. You know my name but that doesn’t mean you know my story,” she added.
