KABUL: Talk between United States authorities and Taliban negotiators in Qatar have been ended with the accord to include the final clauses in the draft agreement to end the 17-years-old Afghan war.
According to the sources, both parties were agreed upon exclusion of remote powers from Afghanistan in year and a half from the future signing of the arrangement.
The diplomatic sources told that US special peace envoy Zalmay Khalilzad is going to Kabul to brief President Ashraf Ghani after the conclusion of the six-day talks.
However, it is not clear whether US authorities have fully accepted the agreement with Taliban or not as US embassy officials were not available in Kabul to issue any statement. Moreover it is also not clear that both side will issued a joint statement.
As indicated by the Taliban sources, the group offered confirmations that Afghanistan won’t be permitted to be utilized by al-Qaeda and Daesh activists to assault the United States and its partners.
The Taliban says that they will finalize a timeline for a truce in Afghanistan however will just open talks with Afghan delegates once the truce is executed.
Meanwhile Taliban sources said that other clauses include an agreement over the exchange and release of detainees from warring sides. The removal of international travel ban on some Taliban leaders by the United States and any possibility of temporary Afghan government after the ceasefire is struck, sources added.
