Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Office of the Mayor of Islamabad screened Historical Movie “Islam Khuja” on Monday at the PNCA Auditorium. The film highlights the events from the Khorezm Kingdom, at the end of 19th and the beginning of 20th Century. The story of the film revolves around the investigation of a young researcher on the mysterious death of Prime Minister Islam Khuja, who had worked for King Kiva Khan. ‘Islam Khuja’ carried plenty of weight, respect and influence over the government matters, at times even more than the king. He went on to clean up the messy political scene with revolutionary reforms in every field. The establishment and king’s cronies hated him as his reforms and changes threatened their status quo. The film brings high-budget production values with excellence in cinematography, editing and art direction. Published in Daily Times, January 23rd 2019.
