The family of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Khurram Sher Zaman was been robbed at gunpoint in Karachi on Wednesday. PTI’s Khurram Sher Zaman informed media that the armed motorists stopped and robbed his family of valuables at gunpoint in Clifton area. Expressing his deep concern about street crimes, the Member of Provincial Assembly said that elements involved in such activities must be handled with iron hands. Last week, in a similar incident, former Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Member of National Assembly Khawaja Sohail Mansoor was also intercepted by unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle, as he left a shopping centre near Bilawal House in his car. On January 8, former Sindh governor Muhammad Zubair faced the same situation when some unidentified armed men attempted to stop him in Defence Phase 3. Published in Daily Times, January 17th 2019.
