Tourists and visitors from across different parts of Sindh arrived at Gorakh Hill Station. They visited the beautiful historical palace and attended three days long Gorakh Rung Festival 2018.The aim of the festival was to highlight the hill station as a lonely majestic mesmerizing site as an alternative to the people of Sindh who have to otherwise travel all the way to Queen of hills. Murree, and KP. Gorakh is located in Kirthar mountain range at an elevation of 1,734m, some 116 kilometres away from Dadu city in Dadu district along the border of Sindh and Baluchistan. From Karachi, it is about an 8 hour drive at distance of 405 km. In the festival, the famous singers of Sindh and Baluchistan sang the cultural songs. Akhtar Chanal and Sanwal Faqeer rhythmically voiced the traditions of Kheerther Range Mountains and Gorakh hills. The other performance groups represented the diversity of culture in Sindh. In addition, a traditional exhibition was also held displaying crafts and products made by the indigenous people. It was inaugurated by PPP MNA and chairman of Gorakh Hill Station, Rafiq Ahmed Jamali on Sunday. Visitors and tourists camped at the station to catch a glimpse of the dazzling stars at night and further their joys of stay. While briefing to journalists, Chairman Gorakh Hills Development Authority (GDHA) affirmed that the aim of organizing the Gorakh Rung Festival was to promote tourism and local culture at Gorakh Hills Station.
