Capital Development Authority (CDA) cautioned public from dealing with purchasing and selling plots from 34 illegal housing societies operating without No Objection Certificate (NOC) as strict action would be taken against them. According to the documents, the 34 illegal housing societies neither fall in the territory of the federal capital neither the housing schemes owners obtained an NOC from the civic agency to pursue launching and marketing of the plots inside their residential and commercial schemes. According to the documents, the following housing societies are illegally violating the bylaws of the capital body and strict action will be taken against the fraudsters. Gulshan-e-Rabia, Gulshan-e-Rahman, Margah City, Hamza Town, Kahota Road, Parliamentarians Enclave, National Cooperative, Media Town, Tele Town, National Police Foundation, Azam Town, Pak PWD, Danial Town, Pakistan Town, Ghauri Town, Askaria Town, Judicial Employees Housing Scheme, Bankers City, Rasheed Town, Bankers Town, River View, Fatima Villa, Television Media Town, Gulshan-e-Danish, Fiza Town, Aliya Town, Danial Town, Aiza Garden, Sadozai Town, New Model Town Roshan Enclave, Muhafiz Garden, Rawat Enclave, Faisal Town, Grace Land Housing and Airline Avenue are being marked illegal and they neither fall in the premises of Islamabad neither have a legal cover to pursue any development scheme. The civic agency cautioned general public in their own interest from the housing societies scam and refrained them from any booking or selling and purchasing in these housing societies as well from any other housing society and directed them to contact the planning department of the CDA about the legal status of the housing schemes. CDA also wrote an application to Islamabad Electric Supply Company chief executive and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited general manager to provide service to only those housing societies who are functioning according to the laws of CDA and are working under the domain of the layout plan. CDA also warned the sponsors and advertisement agencies from promoting these housing schemes which are illegal. Published in Daily Times, December 27th 2018.
